Hawaiian Island Experience

Day 1

Our journey starts in Hawaii’s capital city, Honolulu, which means ‘calm port.’ We’re sure you'll find your calm once you drop your bags and catch a view of the ocean from our Waikiki hotel. Join us in the afternoon for introductions and a welcome drink with iconic Diamond Head Volcano as our backdrop, before we make our way to a beachside restaurant for a welcome dinner featuring local specialties.

What's included? Welcome Drink / Dinner / Overnight Honolulu (D)

Day 2

Our morning starts with a positive energy meditation session and a trip up the legendary Koko Head Stairs. The 1,048 steps will get our hearts pumping as we climb to spectacular views at the top (1,200 feet elevation). In the late morning, we’ll head into Honolulu to visit a farmers’ market and sample everything from locally grown Manoa lettuce to lilikoi butter. Lunch will be on your own but we can recommend a spot that offers a traditional poke or Hawaiian plate lunch. Then we’ll tour the city to learn about the island’s history—highlights include Iolani Palace, the opulent former residence of the Hawaiian monarchy, the Mission Houses Museum and Chinatown—and later that day, we'll drop by the quintessential Duke’s Waikiki to listen to local music over a pitcher of Mai Tais. Dinner is on your own with recommendations from us.

What's included? Breakfast / Meditation Session / Koko Head Stairs Walk / Farmer’s Market Visit / Tour of Historical Honolulu / Mai Tais at Duke’s Waikiki / Overnight Honolulu (B)

Day 3

What is Hawaii without its surf culture? We will wake up early for a morning surf lesson, where you can hit the waves and try your hand at hanging ten. Afterward, we’ll return to the hotel for breakfast at your leisure, and then continue our foray into surf culture with a day-trip to Haleiwa on the North Shore. On our way, we’ll stop at the historic Dole Plantation to try your luck at the world’s largest maze crafted from 14,000 Hawaiian plants; we like to think of it as a walking meditation. Then it’s on to the Farm Lovers’ Farmers’ Market to grab your choice of to-go goods for a picnic lunch. We’ll enjoy our spread on the beach at the famous Banzai Pipeline, while watching surfers brave the nearly 40-foot waves. A tour of the quaint surf town of Haleiwa is in order afterwards. We’ll return in the afternoon to our hotel, where you can hit the beach or browse Waikiki's shops before dinner on your own.

What's included? Breakfast / Surf Session / Dole Plantation Maze Walk / Farmer’s Market Visit / Banzai Pipeline / Haleiwa Tour / Overnight Honolulu (B)

Tonight, we’ll take a drive up to Mauna Kea, a dormant volcano whose peak is the highest point in the entire state, to watch the sun sink beneath us from the summit. Hot soup dinners will be on hand to warm us up afterward.
